Gil Surprised me with flowers and he wasnt even here.

I just wanted to share a photo of the flowers that Gil asked my boss to surprise me with while he was on the band trip this last weekend.
They were a beautiful fall arrangement that even had real fall leaves mixed in the bunch of beautiful flowers. I was shocked b/c I came into work and they were on my desk.
It was a nice surprise.

Just us.

Just wanted to post a picture we took with my cell phone. I got Kadence this Saturday night after all of my stuff was done so that we could just hang out. I had a wonderful time with her. She is such a good baby. She loves Baby Einstein. The girl can sit still and watch the whole video. It freaked me out the first time. I sat with her on the floor and we watched it together. Hence the reason she would not look at the camera.

Veterans Day Sunday

I just wanted to post a picture of Gil and I on the Sunday before Veterans Day and one of Whitney and Courtney and our grandbaby Kadence.

We had a nice Sunday dinner after church at Chili's. Brittany our oldest daughter was our waitress and she got to sneak in a few kisses and hugs w/ her baby.

Gils birthday was great. We had a great time and alot of company came over. I think the best thing was I was able to eat some of the traditional food and it did not upset my stomach.

Our pastor and his daughter came, the Regan Family, Tammy and Jd and kids and my wonderful friend Bonnie whose blog I follow check it out. She and I and Whitney met that afternoon before the party and drove out in the country for Whitney's Senior pictures. You will be able to see previews on her blog in a few weeks. She is always so kind and give us eager parents a peek of what is too come. She took Whit in a wheat field and put her in a funky green chair and shot pictures of her. We also did a red barn, Juniper tree, fence and rail road shots. I cant wait.

I am now down 61 lbs. I cant wait to see where I am at 3 months out. Feeling good and very happy of that.

My girls and Gil left this morning at 5:30 to go on a Bands of America trip to Indianapolis. They will perform on Friday and hopefully make finals.
I have a weekend of deep cleaning pre pared for myself. I want the house good and clean for the Holidays and it is nice to clean when no one is home. I acutally find it relaxing. I have not been by myself in so long. I am kind of looking forward to it.

Well I need to get back to work my lunch is over. Just ate some yummy zucchini soup that my boss Patti and her hubby made and it was so good. It is rainy here today so it was nice having something warm.

Thank God it is over.

Well we have a new president and my husband a new Commander In Chief.

We will pray for his safety and wisdom to run our nation. I think it is neat to have a young family in the White House. I wonder what it will be like for them next year at Christmas time.

This was not a surprise to God for He had this in His divine plan. I did feel sad watching McCain give his speech but I think he was very gracious and humble.

It was very neat seeing History being made though. That did make me happy that I was seeing the First African American President be elected. It is nice to know that it happened in my lifetime. It was also neat to see a spot on GMA that showed people from other countries that said "it just goes to show you that in the US you can do anything." I do think it will let young people know that we can make a difference.

I do thank God for our freedoms and thank those soldiers and families that sacrafice so much to keep us safe.

Speaking of soldiers my husband will be wearing his dress blues on Sunday to church in honor of Veterans day. I will hopefully get some pictures of that. I love a man in uniform lol.

We are preparing for Gils birthday this Saturday as well. We may cook Philipino food. Yeah. I just hope I can eat it. I have not tried fried food but I love my husbands eggrolls so I want to at least have a bite. We will also have homemade fried rice and chicken adoboe. I will need to make him a cake.

Whitney has been working on her Senior project and stressing over it so she has been on the moody side lately. She is also working 4 days a week after school at a day care so she does not get home till after 6 pm. She is learning how to juggle school, band and work.

Courtney is still practicing with the band. They are done with the local season but are still practicing hard for a Bands of America Competition in Indianapolis next week. She loves band. She is a very good marcher.

Well my lunch is almost over at work so I will post more and some pictures.
